1 corps occupy Altheim and cut Bavarian communications with Passau south of the river Danube. 2 corps moves into Franken in support. The Austrians are now well established on the west bank of the river Salach and have isolated the garrison of Passau.

French
Bertrand receives news from Munich of the Austrian advance, but still unaware of that they have crossed the river Salach.

Charles orders his HQ and 1 corps to Altheim to pin 9 Bavarian corps north of the river Danube. 2 corps will move to Franken and secure the bridge over the river Salach. 3 and 4 corps will continue to march towards Linz. He has crossed the river Salach without opposition.

Marshal Oudinot
