Battle of Mattsee - Move 3


1400-1500

16 June 1813



11 Bavarian Corps

General Wrede moves his cavalry forward to pin the enemy cavalry. The remainder of his corps move to the right to attack the town.


Orders – Move to Mattsee

6 Command Points

Hussar brigade moves forward on the left

Artillery move towards Mattsee on road

The four infantry brigades move to the right towards Franken road



2 Austrian Corps

General Klenau opens fire as the enemy come within artillery range.


Orders – Hold Mattsee

4 Command Points

Artillery fire on enemy guns, total 11 with 2D6 and score a hit

Bavarian gunners test morale, roll 3 with 1D6 and pass

Landwehr brigade move forward to Franken road to support artillery


Bavarian corps move forward in column of march to move faster.
The cavalry are in line on the left to protect that flank as they advance
The gunners have suffered one casualty and still limbered


Summary
Bavarians are advancing towards Mattsee
Three infantry brigades now moving right to threaten the Franken road

Austrian artillery deployed to cover Franken road
Landwehr brigade has moved forward to support gunners
Cavalry deployed to counter enemy cavalry
