Battle of Mattsee - Move 1


1200-1300

16 June 1813



11 Bavarian Corps

General Wrede approaches the town with his cavalry deployed to his front left to counter the threat from the enemy cavalry to his infantry in column of march


Orders – Move to Mattsee

4 Command Points

Cavalry move to the left in line to protect the flank

Infantry brigade move to right of road

Corps artillery move along road

Infantry brigade move to left of road


2 Austrian Corps

General Klenau has his cavalry in line to threaten the Bavarian advance. Two infantry brigades are held in reserve until the enemy commit themselves.


Orders – Hold Mattsee

4 Command Points

Cavalry brigade move to counter enemy cavalry

Artillery move forward and unlimber


2 Austrian corps defending Mattsee

Summary
The Bavarians are advancing towards Mattsee

Austrian artillery are deployed to cover Franken road
